My approach to dog training
Not all Irish dog trainers work in the same way.
My good results come from giving dogs (and owners!) a good reason to enjoy themselves. We all learn better when there’s some fun in it.
I’m here to bring out the best and the most positive in your dog, which is why I never use any form of punishment - and will never use choke chains or shock collars. This reward-based approach works, which is why local vets are happy to refer clients to me.
One to One Training covers all your needs
Would you like advice and assistance with your dog’s unwanted behaviour?
Behaviour Consultation - a consultation is a 1 ½ hour appointment, which will be followed by a comprehensive written report, together with a Behaviour modification Programme. Any follow up calls by telephone relating to the problems discussed are at no further cost.
Basic Obedience Training - covers everyday behaviour. Sessions are tailored to suit your dog’s age and nature.
Advanced Obedience Training - for those who want to take it further, or want to take part in competitive obedience or other competition work.
Heelwork to Music - sessions for the high flyers and those who just like to dance.
All dogs are welcome. Some of my best results have been with dogs that others had thought were “beyond hope.” I welcome the challenges, as well as puppies, older dogs, rescue dogs, and those with special needs of any sort.
Training Sessions are held either outdoors in secure, fenced areas - or inside my purpose-made training building (which is heated and comfortable).
Duration is half an hour
Advice is available on care and health issues - Diet, vaccinations, neutering, behaviour problems...
Disability friendly premises! I’ve set up my training facilities to accommodate everyone, and their dogs.
You can see some photos of training sessions in the Photo Gallery
